MEGA New Year’s Mai Tai PUNCH


OK so i have a 10L drink dispenser shaped like a pineapple (who doesn’t!?) and YEAH it comes in handy when I want to make BULK cocktails for any occasion.

New Years! Perfect time for when I don’t want to be shaking every drink, just chuck in all the ingredients and STIR.

It saves on time and cleaning cocktail shaker stuff, blah.

and Mai Tai’s – what’s not to love? they’re juicy, rummy and tropical. Yum!

(FYI- I use all Australian measurement things when i talk CUPS and LITRES)

FIRST – gather all boozy things, and a pineapple:

Start with 20 ice cubes in the drink dispenser, then add:

2 cups Malibu rum

2 cups dark rum

1 cup sugar syrup

2 x 1.25L Pineapple Passion juice bottles – a MEDLEY of pineapple, apple and passionfruit juices. (Total 2.5L juice)

Give the whole lot a STIR –

I chopped a fresh pineapple into wedges, to garnish the glasses –

and I always put a plastic tablecloth on the floor to catch DRIPS, before a pour:

OH YES my living room also always looks like a DISCO. I like sparkly things!

And the drink dispenser looks kickass with a pink laser light. Wew!

This recipe makes 10 x hurricane-sized glasses. but could make like 20 regular sized cups-worth. Goes great with Cheezels!
