PHAR OUT, with a PH. This bar was hard to find (after a couple of beers) Ok it was a sunny day in Brisbane – and I was in the city looking for Phat Elephant – all the way down the end of Post Office Square:
WHY I had to find it, because this: BEER TOWER. I spied it on their menu and wondered: is that what I think it is? and the answer is YES my friend, OMG yes!
2 Litres of your choice of beer (4 choices of beer) I went the 4 Pines pale ale – delivered to the table in this cool tower of a drink dispenser. With two glasses.
The people at the table next to us were “WHAT IS THAT?!” beer tower… then they got one too! it’s pretty impressive.
With the beer, I ate a few courses of delicious Thai cuisine: roti bread with peanut sauce, coconut prawns (yum!) Soft shell crab (my favourite) and a beef massaman curry.
Its possible to get 6 glasses of beer out of the tower, and actually couldn’t finish it. Probably shouldn’t have had those pre-dinner beers.
The bar at out the front is more than capable of making fruit tingles, as I saw on the way out.
