Royston Hotel

Ridiculously good, every time. Refined yet relaxed. Richmond’s Royston Hotel was my local for quite some time..

“Let’s go to The Roy” — and you already know it’s going to be a good night. Look at it glowing at night. Warm & inviting.

I love walking in and getting a wave or a “hey!” from staff.

A classic pub, with a bar-in-the-round, so you can grab a seat, chat with the bartenders, and EVERY spot has a view of the tellies.

First stop is always the MENU — up on the wall.

What’s on tap? What are the specials? What’s happening tonight? it’s all THERE.

NEXT: grab a seat at the bar. It’s the best.

Hanging up my bag on a coat hook. Settling in.

this must have been SUMMER

It’s one of those places where sitting at the bar and having a proper meal feels completely natural — which I love.

The BEER TAPS are constantly rotating, with local breweries on offer and interesting craft beers popping up throughout the year.

The Roy clearly care about good brews!

The MENU has both classic and quirky offerings.

My go-to favourites: the spicy fried eggplant, chicken parm & chips and the Disco Gems (potato gems slathered in melted cheese with beans!) Yum yum yum

Whether it was the start of a big night or the end of a quiet one, I always found myself here.

The Roy isn’t just a pub. It’s a Richmond rite of passage.
