Viscosity

VIBRANT everything at Viscosity in the Valley. This sciencey cocktail bar has every UV light imaginable, with a neon rainbow vibe. Bar #22 of the challenge was most ultra-violety.

You get to see all that, once you get inside of course. There were two entry lines when I visited – a long line to wait an hour for a table, OR a super short line to do shots at the bar. I went the short line.

Within 5 minutes I was ushered inside, though babysat by staff, and rushed to choose from the picture menu. There’s frogs and aliens and shoe receptacles to drink from, with weird and wonderful names.. Umm What’s IN the drinks?  “Usually vodka” ohhh good thing I like that.

Everything on the menu is alcoholic, even the ice cream. Over to the bar, with it’s black lights, swirling smoke and dry ice. I ordered a photon shot and looked around at the tables of screaming girls and was very glad I chose the standing at the bar option.

The last bar stools were snaked away by a former work colleague of mine, Taylah! Actually glad to run into a familiar face, and catch up with her while my shot was being whipped up.

They served up this cute mini witch’s cauldron all swirly and smokey like. I’m told NOT to take the drink for a walk, it must be sacrificed at the bar.

The shot was all delicious fruity flavours, mixed with boba pearls bubbling at the bottom. 

VERY cool bar, take your mates out for an alien autopsy or zombie brains drinks. It’s only open a few days of the week, has no website, or bookings form, so be prepared to wait in the long line, if that is what is wanted.
