White Lies Brewing

Welcome back to beers, why have I been drinking rum slushies the last few reviews (oh but they’re delicious) I heard good things about White Lies Brewing, so went along one Thursday afternoon.

Website and Google maps say: “Thursdays OPEN from 12pm” Great! I ran some errands, and rocked up at 1.45pm, expecting a little hustle and bustle vibe. Nope. 

Bar’s empty.

Wait, saw someone inside – so knocked on the door. Bartender answers “Sorry! Not open til 2!” 

Right. Back to the car to… wait and take photos

Surely 2.05pm was acceptable? I knocked again. Hi~ Remember me from 20 mins ago?

Bartender was not impressed.

Sigh.

Doors opened though, and very excited for the tap list –

I’d never tried a white stout before… “One schooner of coffee thick shake please!” 4.8%. My first white stout (and it was delicious).

There’s some video games behind that beer, but they weren’t switched on.

I’d just picked up stickers for my band from the printers (Big W) so was pretty distracted by them, and the beer.

My pet peeve though is differing opening hours, depending on what website you look at, see Ze Pickle article. Plus I should know by now not to trust Google Maps.
