DARK? Yes. RED WINE? Also Yes. and WHITE wines, ROSE wines and OTHER drinks too – at Dark Red Wine Bar.
It was my first time down Bakery Lane in Fortitude Valley. Yes, cool, NEW adventure! It wasn’t so much a LANE as it was a CUL-De-SAC of restauranty bars.
When I got to the end there was a circle of chairs (!) I did a SPIN – where is this bar?

There’s no big signs, just a door with Dark Red written onnit. Inside was a bunch of 30yr old-ish ladies (out for Pub Choir night apparently) so I blended in with the crowd (lol).
Owner lady offered me a few tastings of wines, before I settled on one by DADDY. Also I just wanted to say “I’ll have a glass of Daddy please”.
“oh and just pay when you’re done” Yeah na, I’m wary of that, plus I had other bars to HOP to, so just the one glass please and i’ll pay now. Cheers.

The bar was cute and cosy and had decorations of Benjamin Franklin blowing bubblegum (WALLPAPER), and educational maps of Italian wine regions.

After the pub choir chicks left – I had the place to myself, and a seat at the window to watch the “lane”. The bench had a QR code for the dumplings place across the way, but mostly my view was two young dudes sitting outside, wearing hats at night.. lol lol lol
