Every girl needs a hobby, right? Bar #5 Eagles Nest Kangaroo Point

Eventually it was time to branch out of the city and put Google maps to use: Internet, find me bars starting with E please.. Ta-da, Eagles Nest appeared! Never would have found it if it wasn’t for THE CHALLENGE. So OK friends, a good excuse to afternoon adventure.

Journey to The Point Hotel, ascend the white staircase, waltz through reception and elevator to the 12th floor (the lift button is an Eagle, for extra Eagle-ness)

The terrace is beautiful, and that’s where you’ll find the bar – but you can’t sit at it, nor would you want to – choose a spot by the balcony like we did.. to admire the extraordinary panoramic views, like we did. Watch the light grey clouds turn to dark grey clouds like we did. Ignore the raindrops cuz hey, rooftop bar, right?

Take drinks undercover cuz rain you want the full experience of The Nest. Order hot food (yummy chicken wings, salt & pepper squid and just all the dips) Margaritas and G&Ts were our flavour of the day. Enjoy that view while it lasts. Remember it was Friday the 13th! Eep.

Good things: Indoor and outdoor areas.
