Even tho I was doing “Dry July” (at the time) it did not stop me going to the bars – Greg was keen to get away from the office, so we did a lunch visit to Easy Times at Woolloongabba.
I walked in and (NOT to be too distracted by the pretty beer taps)
Told the bar chick I’m doing Dry July! She said: “We have Heaps Normal cans”
well great! one of those please – the “Half Day Hazy” 0.5% alc
Greg got a RED beer which looked awfully delicious. We took our beverages upstairs to the veranda and sat where it wasn’t too loud (OK we got the lady to turn the music down).
Poured my FIRST EVER non-alcoholic beer – it frothy! and a sip tasted like I was cheating on the no-alcohol month I was doing (for a good cause). It had the flavours of a beer just no alcoholic KICK at the end.
The lunch MENU was: pizza OR chicken wings OR chips..
So I went the mushroom PIZZA, and Greg got buffalo wings.
Mostly it was just a lovely day to be out on the balcony, and enjoy views of Logan Road happenings.
