FICK Brewing Company

First I thought of another F word I know in the English language, but FUDGE it. I’ll pretend to forget, cuz Fick Brewing is a family-owned business! making great Belgian-style beers and FOOD.

Found in Northgate, (across the road from Australia Post) is the Fick! little lollipop sign out front, of the cutest little house-turned-into-a-brewery.

The menu made me wish I’d brought my glasses (Miss Squinty here) but keen to try that Golden Ale please!

Yum! A good starter beer, before kicking it up a notch with the Fick RED IPA.

FRESH two schooies from the bar (one for Matt) but I wish they were both for me. If you love malty FLAVOURFUL ales then the Fick Red is for you. There’s a reason people bang on about this red IPA, so if you get the chance: it’s a MUST try beer.

We took our yummy drinks for a walk outside > to the large (undercover) area, with lots of tables and chairs.

We were mid-way through the Tour de North bus trip (3 x Brisbane breweries) in March 2023, but the CHILL beers helped keep us COOL, plus a cute little water station by the door.

The staff were lovely, and we would’ve stayed longer IF we didn’t have more breweries to visit that day. HIGHLY recommend Fick, and those Tour de North shuttle bus days.
