Fancy circus party at The Fortitude Music Hall Fortitude Valley
Ok so I F’d up my alphabetical order here (already) I was going great for five bars, A, B, C, D, E. Until my intended F Bar got famous for food poisoning (not named here) and I’d already teed-up drinks with my bro for G bar, so I fudged the order a bit. I knew I had tickets to the circus soon so I did a little skip and flip.
September! The ‘Circus of Light’ was in town and all the cool kids were going. A night of wonder and amazement was promised: lasers, acrobats and confetti cannons! Yeah. I was there for the bar.
Jugglers and hula-hoopers danced on stage, while I was trying to yell an order of “SCOTCH!” “And COKE!”. Bless the bartenders for hearing my order over the blaring sounds of ravers raving.
Good things: the bar stretches far and wide, choose your queues wisely. Young people tend to dodge and dash in line.
Bad Things: Those weird plastic/acrylic cups! And standing room only, no sitting at this bar, it’s a music venue, you’d have to get tickets to a show to get inside
Overall: Better than other music venue bars. Take a loud voice.
