How about Hop & Pickle South Brisbane
Because there was a party later in the same area and I wanted to tick-off an H bar. It was happening. Once I stopped over-booking my bars and winging it, I could get back on the alphabetical track and take my bars a week at a time.
I hopped on the Citycat and ferried it from the Regatta to South Bank. Found the bar, (sign out front says PUB), and the logo is a woman smelling beer with a pinecone on her head. I walked right in and sat at the bar.
If you’re a Brisbanite you’ve probably already walked past this place, on the main strip of Southbank eateries. It looks kinda touristy but at least it’s open all days of the week.
The bartenders were chatty, and I learnt that a local designed their logo (sorry) on an old version of Illustrator (ok not sorry anymore)
Once my mates arrived I could move from the bar to a table, and ate a bunch of the foods (all pictured, all yum)
The drinks were reasonably priced, and I recall a good selection of the alcohols and cocktails to choose from.
Hip things: going from boat to bar
Not hip things: the hipness wears off after about an hour
Update: since my visit they have updated their logo (good choice, PUB)
