JUST loitering out front, getting some SIGNAGE SNAPS like the content goblin I am, til I wandered in to Jack & Bones Island Bar, THEN I HEARD:
“HEY! Thanks for entering my venue!”

“Yeah, I’m Jhai”.
And THAT is how I met the coolest bar manager in Melbourne.
Jhai is exactly the kind of human you want running a tiki bar in the middle of Melbourne city—warm, chatty, and cooler than a cucumber in a coconut.
Instant welcome. Instant vibe.
Headed down the stairs like I was entering a secret party— blown away by the tiki graffiti art on the walls, and the fairy lights overhead (that i have described as both CUTE and PRETTY in my reels on Instagram)
there are ZERO seats at the bar (intentional).
This isn’t a perch-and-scroll kind of place. This bar wants you to lounge, chat, and chill.
There’s a plethora of specials AND a massive food and drinks menu.
My favourite beer on tap here is the Port Phillip Brewing IPA 6.%

First time was a cherry-garnished whiskey sour, another pop-in led to a pink & purple slushie seabreeze!
My sticker is behind the bar somewhere (!) and you bet Jack & Bones is one of my regular haunts on Flinders Lane.
