KEEN to check out Kent Street bar, thanks to a HOT TIP from a Brisbanite! I ended up discovering the MOST delicious hazy Nectarine beer (and I didn’t even know that was a thing!)
OUTSIDE: It’s a bustling Fitzroy BAR (kicking myself I didn’t get a pic of the SIGN, too busy filming myself – boo..)
INSIDE – it’s WARM and there’s a massive bar upstairs – Hell Yea
Ask the BARTENDER – got any HAZY’s?
“Yeeeaaa a NECTARINE”

(is he serious?) Pours me a sample. YES. I’ll take that please and thanks. what sizes do you have?
“All of them”
Of course! I’ll take a schooner please
Which I happily took to aside, and to observe this quirky bar in all it’s glory.
BEHIND the bar is a TV, on the opposite wall is a PROJECTOR showing ARTY films.
There’s political rags for decorations, bras hanging from the bar – some knickers! why not.
I took a pic to remember this DELICIOUS beer – the Local Brewing Co. Hazy Nectarine Pale 4.5% (which I’ve since found at my local bottle shop and is now a solid FAVOURITE)
they also do mulled wine, cocktails and had a good selection of cans in the fridge.
SOOooo many people were coming and going, and all were friendly and chatty
The bathrooms were up more stairs, and just COVERED in stickers and graffiti (no pics of the bathrooms, obvs)
I had to call it a night around three beers (10.30pm)
