Mighty fine day for a BAR – When i visited Mr Badgers and OOH yeah my 66th bar review, let’s do this!
That be the front of Mr Badgers Delicatessen in Woolloongabba (like yep, RIGHT across the road from THE GABBA) so parking is stupid PAID parking.
Anyhoo, I tried to get a photo without the black ute out front but it was parked there all day.
Wandered up to the DELI, there’s a “Wait to be Seated” sign, so I waited.. Until I just stepped inside and was greeted with a “Hello! Come in! Sit wherever!” I love those welcomes.
Do I want a normal table OR a seat in the giant tram cart in the middle of the deli > I think the answer is pretty obvious here..
Can I sit in the cart? (pls)
“For sure, take a booth, lovely” She called me lovely.
Here is a photo from inside the tram cart. Outside it looked: like a tram cart.
VERY Elegant, cool view of the art and inside decor. Cool posters on the walls and lots to see and read.
The menu is printed like a mock-up newspaper which I was BIG FAN of, and I LOVE that they went to this extra unique effort!
I ordered the “MR Badgers house ginger beer” which was a Matso’s ginger beer (oh ok) that arrived with a glass of ice, and a wedge of lime (ok winning)
WITH a BRAT bagel – (Bacon, Rocket, Avocado, Tomato) – that came with a side of potato CRISPS.
CRISPS people, NOT chips – I wrote it in CAPS in my notes, as I’m writing it to you now, as this seemed to be an important part of lunch that day.
And I don’t even eat potato chips, or crisps! but they were on the plate like a cute little lunch surprise and I thought that was a difference you should know about.
YUM. The food was DELISH, the staff were LOVELY and it’s a cute novelty sitting inside the cart, inside the deli.
Definitely a tops LUNCH spot, the after lunch drinks are what the Copacabana club is for!
