No I didn’t mean to buy into the hype of Next Episode Bar. Not just because everything was coloured HOT NEON PINK. No of course not, nooo never…
I just happened to be up to the letter “N” on my Z to A challenge list and this proudly HIDDEN bar in South Brisbane looked a treat. I invited two of my chick mates for a night out, and when they both piked last minute… I. went. anyway.
As I have said before: not a fan of secret door bars, but this one was next level.. like a Dungeons & Dragons quest! so cool, adventure me.
First, the bus: to South Brisbane for pretty city pictures. Easy to find Fish Lane – more bright colourful neon signs (plusss)
This bar comes with INSTRUCTIONS: find the door, find the phone, dial the code…

Dial the code – from the Instagram page, and even me being the Insta novice that I am (still am) I got the code… I memorised all the THINGS.
I won’t ruin the surprise if you’re planning on going here, but once you push through that mirror door you’ll know..
SOooo, walk into the bar, feeling very pleased you made it through the quest, (look around the room at everyone else who also completed the quest) and reward yourself with a gangsta themed cocktail. I chose a Travis Scotch – a WHISKEY based cocktail. and it was YUM.
It’s a very cool bar and you get used to looking at the door whenever it opens. Which is a lot.
Dj plays cool tunes, and there’s wickedly cool art on walls. Good novelty bar.
