PHAR OUT, with a PH. This bar was hard to find (after a couple of beers) Ok it was a sunny day in Brisbane – Matt and I were in the city looking for Phat Elephant – all the way down the end of Post Office Square:
WHY we had to find it, because this: BEER TOWER. I spied it on their menu and wondered: is that what I think it is? and the answer is YES my friend, OMG yes!
2 Litres of your choice of beer (4 choices of beer) We went the 4 Pines pale ale – delivered to the table in this cool tower of a drink dispenser. With two glasses.
The people at the table next to us were “WHAT IS THAT?!” beer tower… then they got one too! it’s pretty impressive.
With the beer, we ate our way through courses of delicious Thai cuisine: roti bread with peanut sauce, coconut prawns (yum!) Soft shell crab (my favourite) and a beef massaman curry.
We got 6 glasses beer out of the tower, and actually couldn’t finish it. Probably shouldn’t have had those pre-dinner beers.
The bar at out the front is more than capable of making fruit tingles, as I saw on the way out.
