Quick bus trip from Ping Pong to here, it was the ONLY time during the challenge I went to 2 bars in one night. I’d heard great things about Queens! It was new and getting popular so I went to see what the fuss was all about.
At a not-too-dodgy part of the Valley, there’s an awesome neon pink sign out front (like) DJ playing cool music as I entered (double like) and empty seats at the bar – hell yea. Grabbed a bar stool and went to order a drink.. a margarita.
It looked nice, it tasted nice. It was a good drink. It took a while to get though, as the staff were deep in chat about Sarah’s new hairstyle (or something). But it was worth the wait. The bar was indeed super cool and everything looked pink and glamorous. Just something was missing.. Maybe I was too focused on the staff not wearing masks properly..
I might have been one of three people at the bar, so still quite empty and early for a Friday night. Tried my luck ordering a second drink, this time the watermelon margarita..
It was tasty! A bit disappointed I didn’t get a fancy margarita glass this time. Anyhoo, I sipped it slowly, hoping the bar would grow on me or the people would warm up… but yeah, na.
I know many valley rats who LURVE this bar, so consider myself the minority here, I gave it a shot.
Quick one: it’s a no from me.
One little chicky out of 5
