Quick, cocktails at the QUIVR bar! Cuz I had to visit the new cool bar in town..
Down the lane that is Winn Lane, is a DJ booth that streams LIVE to TWITCH.
(I discovered the live-streaming channel during covid lockdowns) – and SUPER excited when I found out IT LIVES in my favourite stomping ground: Fortitude Valley.
Well what STARTED as a DJ booth, and a place for DJ lessons – quickly became a hub for Brisbane musicians to learn and perform their skills.
I can’t remember when I met the owners: Hollee and Dara, but when I did – they were already planning stage 2: building a bar to add to the music booth. Genius.
By November 2022, they had completely transformed an old record store next to THE BOOTH, and BOOM – the bar was good to go! Music and booze = winning.
It was about then that I dropped in (slightly announced) music PUMPING from the booth – while also being live-streamed on the Twitch.

There’s seats at the bar, but I sat outside with Hol & Dara to chat and take pics. THANKS to Dara for holding up my cocktail so I could get this shot: THE CLASSIC cocktail outside the ON-AIR DJ booth.
Later I ventured inside to find a separate ORANGE chill room and drink my second vodka lime yummy drink.
It was bloody cool (let’s be honest) A QUIVR drink at the QUIVR DJ booth with QUIVR DJ’s. I’m quivering.
