Quirky little bar Quysine Tapas – Bar & Restaurant, if you’re in the Cleveland area, and tapas are calling you: go here.
Unfortunately I’m one of those awful people who trust in opening hours stated, (11:30am is their OPEN time), so only a little annoyed when I rock up at 11:45am to a big CLOSED sign on the door. A few other hungry people were also lingering, until a lovely staff member opened all doors and welcomed us to sit.
OK cool, just so you know I’m NOT with those people, just having a little ME day, and can I get that one big table to myself?
“Sit anywhere you like”
Great! That bench is all mine, it’s outside with a view of the street.
I was given a menu and a doorbell kinda button device for when I want: service or the bill. “Just press the button” OK cool,
The menu is a big book of fun, but I didn’t need it, I went the $20 lunch special -(One tapas, one side, one drink) and was not disappointed.
I got this delicious GIANT chicken salad, bowl of sweet potato fries (MOREISH) with sour cream to dip, and a glass of house wine (I chose the sav blanc)
At this point in my Z to A challenge I was still not convinced I would be future writing about my adventures. So apologies for the scarce photography, no exterior shots, or funny signage, the only other photo I got was this random menu picture..
Yes I did use the doorbell button for service, but it took a bit of time, so I paid the bill the old fashioned way – by going inside to the counter.
It was nice sitting outside but I was bothered by flies. Overall it was a good place for lunch and a bargain for delicious food. No credit card surcharge (woohoo) Good parking and toilet facilities.
3 and a half satisfied chicks
