The Old Bar has been ON my radar for ages — one of those much-loved Melbourne haunts with a proper cult following.

ONE Uber to Fitzroy – and OFF I went
By 10pm on a Saturday night there was already a solid HANG out front
Smokers smoking. Vapers vaping.
Door men asking if I have a ticket…
Ohhh no — I didn’t.
But will I happily pay $30 to see SQUARE
Please and thank you, Mr Door Man.
INSIDE, the bar was BUZZING

I handed over a Chick Walks Into a Bar sticker. TY kindly.
I parked myself up at the bar (my favourite spot), soaking up the atmosphere before Square hit the stage.
Then I WIGGLED my way to the front corner of the crowd —
YES. Prime position.
LOVE this Brissie-based band!
So glad they came down to Melbourne — and judging by the crowd, everyone else was too. Pure appreciation for LIVE music.
Very cool dive bar.
Comfy bar stools.
Great sound.
And one of my favourite Melbourne DJs is a regular on karaoke nights — DJ Hot Wheels 🎤
Overall: The Old bar is the epitome of a DIVE BAR.
