Unusual name, eye-catching though, and had the key word ‘bar’ in the title, so I convinced myself this counted as my U bar. Always happy to support a new local business, I got my mates to meet me for a mid-week beverage at Uncle Wang’s.
It was a Thursday afternoon and businessmen were dining alfresco, but we sat inside where all the pretty parasols were hanging from the roof.
Individual lunch specials were $15, but we went the Guest Lunch banquet for 4, mostly to find out what kailan was (comes with NUTS, GFO!)

We lunched our way through the delicious foods: tofu, popcorn chicken, pork belly and Chinese broccoli (aka kailan!) We kept the business card that says “Morden Chinese” and got to take home all uneaten foods in little leftover boxes.

Pros: A lovely eatery, warm and inviting, all up: a great vibe at Uncle Wang’s.
Cons: I never asked if there was an Uncle Wang *sigh* maybe next time.
