Z is for ZEALOUSLY walking into the bar. I had attempted Zero Fox last year with zero results (see Ze Pickle article) But this time would be different, this time was the beginning of a whole new challenge, and I had a whole new hair colour. BLONDE. Me. waiting for the bus.

I wanted to right the wrongs of last year, I wanted a tasty Tuesday lunch at the bar and I didn’t ask anyone to come with – JUST IN CASE the doors were closed – But they were OPEN – and I was SO happy to see open doors!

There was only one lady working behind the bar, handling all the orders and pouring the beers.. I was so impressed I didn’t bore her with my stories of last time.. I found an empty seat and read the tap list –

One schooner of Willie Smith’s apple cider please, and a bowl of chilli prawns – which were delivered FAST! And cooked perfect, prawns with tail-on, tossed in spicy chilli sauce. Yum. What more could you want on a hot summer day.

It was so hot, the QR codes were peeling off the tables, but I had my cold cider and a beautiful view of Teneriffe.
OK, Zero Fox and I were friends again, and the food was amazing. Well worth the return, and a good start to my Z to A challenge.
